The ACI Foundation began accepting applications from graduate and undergraduate students for the 2024-2025 academic year on July 5. Eight new fellowships and one new scholarship have been added, bringing the total annual awards to 46.
The ACI Foundation’s Concrete Innovation Council gathered once again with participants and presenters to discuss technology and innovation at the 2023 Technology Forum. The successful event took place Aug. 29-31 at the Benson Portland A Hilton Curio Collection Hotel in Portland, Oregon.
The ACI Foundation’s Concrete Research Council selected 11 research projects to receive grants this year. The CRC seeks concrete research projects that further the knowledge and sustainability of concrete materials, construction and structures in coordination with ACI Technical Committees.
The ACI Foundation announced new Trustees and the re-election of an existing Trustee to its Board. The Trustees re-elected the Chair of Trustees — Jeffrey Coleman — and elected a new Trustee — Brett McMahon. New ACI Vice President Maria Juenger also joins the Trustees as part of her new role.
The ACI Foundation is pleased to announce its 2023-2024 fellowship and scholarship recipients. The ACI Foundation is a nonprofit subsidiary of ACI that promotes progress, innovation and collaboration in the concrete industry through strategic investments in ideas, research and people to create the future of the concrete industry.
The ACI Foundation has created a new fellowship in honor of Kenneth C. Hover. His past and present teaching, communication, research, and consulting activities have positively influenced several thousands of individuals in the concrete industry community and enhanced their knowledge about concrete.
For the first time in two years, the ACI Foundation’s Concrete Innovation Council successfully hosted an in-person Technology Forum. The sold-out event took place Aug. 30 - Sept. 1 in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
The ACI Foundation’s Concrete Research Council seeks to advance the concrete industry through the funding of concrete research projects that further the knowledge and sustainability of concrete materials, construction and structures. The annual request for proposals is open now through Dec. 1, 2022.
